Even the ones that don’t work with pollen still act as predators for smaller insects and prey for larger ones. Yes – bees, wasps and hornets serve a purpose, but that gives them no right to set up shop under your awnings or in any other nook and cranny of your property.

If you have a nest in your the Southeastern United States area home or business, Lookout Pest Control can help. Our bee and wasp exterminators work safely and efficiently, allowing you to live free from the fear of painful stings.

Is DIY Wasp Nest Removal Safe?

If you find a wasp nest around your home or business, it makes sense to want to get rid of it as soon as possible. Be careful – no matter what species you’re dealing with, it has the potential to be dangerous. Handling a nest on your own could lead to multiple stings, which can be particularly dangerous for individuals with allergies.

If you jostle the nest, they may get agitated and move to attack. You don’t want to run the risk of a painful bite and potential allergic reaction, so it’s always better to leave it to the professionals, or leave it alone.

Should I Remove a Beehive?

So you’ve found a beehive somewhere on your property. Should you remove it?

For honey bees, we recommend calling a beekeeper so they can be handled ethically.

Of course, there are some beehives that should be immediately removed. The carpenter bee, for instance, can cause substantial property damage if left unchecked. You may also want to get rid of yellow jackets and hornets. Trust the exterminators at Lookout Pest Control to safely remove the beehive and keep more from forming in the future.

Great company! Very affordable! The staff is extremely friendly & knowledgeable. They really know what they are doing at Lookout. I had a terrible issue with bees getting in my metal roof and they were constantly at my front door & trying to get in the house. I called Lookout & they sent a guy out & he took care of my Bee problem. I have not had any more issues with the bees. I will be calling Lookout Pest Control for any other pest issues that may arise.
